 Like with any business, network marketing success “happens” by attracting a growing number of relationships into your sphere of influence—people interested in what your business offers.

Successful people accomplish that by providing value… they give something before they pitch their products or deal, and that’s what attracts people to them so they have an opportunity to make more sales and and grow their business more effortlessly.

Giving something before you expect to receive is the start of any lasting relationship.  

But a large segment of the MLM industry has lost sight of it.  They want something for nothing.  Or, they think ’sharing company information’ is giving value when it’s nothing more than pitching a deal—which people resist.

Attraction Network Marketing Tips To Attract Leads to You

If you are looking to master the attraction network marketing business model there are a number of approaches that you can take to do so. Many distributors get stuck and are never able to build the momentum that they need to take their businesses to the next level.  The reason is because they fail to master the skills of attraction marketing for their business opportunity.

The following are tips to help you build your network marketing business using attraction marketing.

#1 Avoid Being The “Jack of All Trades” In Attraction Network Marketing

There are a number of distributors that try to master everything in attraction marketing.  These distributors often fail because by diluting their efforts they master nothing. If you are new to this business model the best approach is to pick ONE area that you feel you can master. Focus on that one area until you feel you have maximized all of the leads you can generate or at least until you feel you are outstanding in that area.

#2 Don’t Give Up On Attracting People to Your Business Opportunity Too Soon

Many distributors fail at attraction marketing because they give up too soon.  They expect it to be the “magic wand” that they can wave and magically transform their business.

It doesn’t work like that.

Attracting people to your business opportunity is both an art and a science that takes months, if not years to master.  You are not going to master these skills overnight. Often, if you are just getting started, it make take a month, even several months before you recruit your first prospect to your business opportunity.

#3 Learn To Provide Value to Your Network Marketing Leads

People are looking to work with people that provide value to them.  Trying to attract people by just selling them on your business opportunity isn’t going to provide a whole lot of value. To provide value you want to offer your network marketing leads information that can improve their lives.  The information you offer should be based on the type of lead that you are generating.

For instance if you are generating leads to create a list of distributors already in network marketing, offer information that will help them to build their network marketing business. If you are generating leads of prospects that are looking for a business opportunity, offer them information that will help them to find and select the best business opportunity.

Attraction marketing is based on the premise that you attract customers that are interested in what you have to offer rather than pursue prospects that may or may not be interested. For most, especially in the network marketing business, it is a complete turn-around in mindset.

Many of us were taught the “three-foot rule” which basically suggests that we should share our business or product opportunity with anything that moves and can fog a mirror.   The overzealous application of that idea has long tainted an otherwise respectable and legitimate business model. We were also taught clever ways to “overcome” almost any objection that came our way.   Again, effectively “manipulating” people to do what we wanted rather than what they wanted.

Attraction marketing, on the other hand, just fundamentally makes more sense.   Simply let people know what you have to offer, and make it convenient for those who might be interested to come to you.

Set Yourself Apart with Attraction Marketing 

However, with attraction marketing, the marketer must find a way to set him or herself apart from the multiple thousands of messages that are competing for attention. One of the best ways to cut though the competing messages is to develop an audience of people who know, like, and trust you.   That’s what the various social marketing tools are all about. 

One of the best strategies to find people who are interested in what you have to offer is to be willing to give them information and help with whatever they are interested in.   If for example, someone is looking for some health or nutrition advice because of an issue they might be having, they will start searching through the Internet for answers.

They are naturally going to be attracted to the person(s) who demonstrates a significant amount of expertise, often by offering significant amounts of advice… and usually for free via articles, blogs, and other forms of social media.

In the past, most thought that it’s your expertise that sets you apart from others.   Why should you just give it away? The answer was usually, “I shouldn’t!” “I can’t!”

But it’s actually a very good question.   Yes, it is your expertise that sets you apart, and the reason you should be willing to give it away is that the very act of giving it away truly sets you apart from others and makes you extremely attractive.

The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann

The best business book in the past several decades was published just about a year ago now.   In that book, The Go-Giver, co-authors Bob Burg and John David Mann tell an incredibly compelling little story that demonstrates that the key to “stratospheric success” is to be a go-giver. 

The bottom line is you can’t give too much away.   The more you give, the more you will gain in the long run.   Maybe not directly from whom you gave to—after all that wouldn’t really be giving, would it? 

One of the key laws from Burg and Mann’s book simply states, “Your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them.”What better vehicle to serve massive amounts of people than by attraction marketing on the internet?  

Make your mantra “give it away!”

The faster you shovel it out the front door, the faster it will come in through the back.   Become a go-giver!

 This video is a good overview of what an auto responder does. I found it to be well presented and easy to follow. If you want to automate your business as much as possible then understanding the importance / the role an auto responder plays – is vital.

ORIENTATION

 The opportunity to work from home is so enjoyable and rewarding. I truly believe that it’s for everyone who has the desire and belief system within themselves that they can do it if they want to. The biggest problem new home based business owners struggle with, is themselves. They bring past failure experiences or low self esteem, or fears of success into the picture and they have to work very hard at overcoming. This is growth from the inside out.

I can teach you everything you want to know about internet marketing. But I can’t control your thoughts, desires, commitment, things like that. That’s the biggest part and I can’t help you there. You have to want it for yourself.

There is a Learning Curve 

There is a learning curve because you are learning new skills. When I wanted to be a Police Officer, I had to go to school and learn new skills.  

When I wanted to be a home based business owner and take that online, I had to go back to school. I studied and learned and worked through the learning curve so that I could achieve my goals of building multiple streams of income. I achieved my goal.

In both of these real life situations, it wasn’t always easy, but it was always worth it. That’s what will make you part of the 2% of individuals who make it in this industry.

Stay Focused

Focus will dictate your results more than anything else. Prepare yourself to see tons of great offers and new tools. Know when to say no and know when to say yes depending on where you’re at in the your process of learning at the time. Always know where you’re at and choose your next action steps accordingly. 

A fantastic idea is to implement a “To Do” list. Each day begin with your most urgent “to do” tasks. As you complete each task , tick them off. This serves two purposes.

1) you remain focused and don’t get easily side tracked.

2) you achieve your goals faster!

Be mindful of your business hours, fill in your calendar, have control of your business development process. Make sure you’re taking time for family, exercise, etc.

Go Through Fast Start Training

I’m assuming you partnered with me in this business because you desired a change in your situation, whatever that may be. I hope you’ll take this very seriously. One year from today, your life can look very different if you’ll do the work it takes to make it happen.

This is not a hobby / This is not a race.

 Do not put pressure on yourself to perform in 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, whatever.  Do not compare yourself to any others.  This is not a competition.  It’s your journey to your dreams.  New business partners are all unique and have a very different set of circumstances when they start. Look at all the variations:

1) computer skills
2) past internet marketing experience
3) time to be able to commit to the business
4) kids vs. no kids
5) money for advertising
6) health issues
7) how fast learning curve is comprehended

8) fears and hangups
9) confidence levels

We are all different and depending on your particular circumstance, you will build your business at your pace. What’s important to understand is that those who continue to work their business, wins in the end. Keep yourself focused on your objective and  your business.  Celebrate every success, no matter how small. (Chocolate is my favorite treat …!)

Treat this like a business Expect obstacles and expect to overcome them, that’s just business.  Decide right now that no matter how long it takes, you’re in this for the long run.  If you’d have spent $100K+ on a brick and mortar business, I bet you’d hang in there when employees quit, the cash register breaks, your advertising doesn’t pull anyone into your store, the customer toilet gets clogged, you can’t get the new equipment you ordered installed right. Are you getting my point? Please treat this just as serious if you want to succeed in business. Just because it’s a small investment and it can be worked around your schedule, doesn’t mean it’s not to be taken as serious.

Also, I don’t think if you went to the bank and asked for a business loan to open a cake shop, you wanted $280K for start up costs and explained the banker, “Mr. Banker, I’m gonna give it my best shot for 60 days and if I’m not raking in the dough, I’m gonna cash it in”. No, that’s ridiculous. So don’t come into your new business with that attitude.

 Be Professional Please

Be professional. Embrace technology.  Embrace new experiences.  Get out of your comfort zone.  Get used to being uncomfortable.  If not you’re not uncomfortable, you’re not growing.  Embrace leadership.  Every problem you come up against, and there will be some so count on it, know that someone else before you has experienced the same thing and found a solution.  Become solution oriented.  We have all been where you’re at.  You have to start somewhere.  Good for you for wanting more in life and working hard to have it.

Keep complaining and negative thoughts from coming out of your mouth and mind. When you hit a road block or obstacle or technology isn’t cooperating, say to yourself, ”hummm, I know I’ll find the answer, I just need to keep looking”.  I am here for help and offer assistance if you’ve tried to solve the problem yourself.  If I don’t know the answer, you may need to seek outside services.  It’s no big deal. Speak success and answers into your life. Open your mind.  Search for help on Google.   

If you find yourself complaining or being negative instead of speaking prosperity, solutions and positive remarks, I promise you, you’re either not doing personal development at all or not near enough.  You may have to put everything down for a week and drown yourself in personal development.  Do whatever it takes.  Personal Development is critical to your thinking and behaviors.  Skip it and you might as well not even start.  You can find some good starts to personal development on this website under personal development.

Be willing to do what most people are not willing to do.  If you do that, you will have what most people do not have.  Your other option is to do nothing and then what do you have?  What will you have in 2 years?  5 years.

Doctors, lawyers, CEO’s, etc., spend years in school to be able to earn a 6-figure paycheck.  You can generate more profits then they earn with your “nose to the grind” and “rolled up sleeves” in a relatively short period of time compared to them.  So, put in your time, get your education so to speak (meaning stay in the game, learn, and figure it out) and have the life you dream about.  Of course, I cannot guarantee you’ll make any money.  That’s up to you.  You will get out, exactly the effort and time you put in.
